I just finished filling our hugest duffel bag with stuff for the kids at Hope for the Hopeless. I was sure it would be over the weight limit but according to our scale it’s at 46 lbs, 4 under the limit. I may stuff a few more shirts in there but not much more. Want to leave a little wiggle room.
First I have to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated for the kids at Hope for the Hopeless. Counting everything via ChipIn and checks we’ve received we have $550!!!! I’m excited to see what we can do with that money for them.
I spent last night filling out endless immigration forms, gathering W-2s etc. I’m taking extra blank copies in case I’ve completely screwed them up.
We still have no news on the Slonigers, but I was at her house today and her bags are packed! Like zipped up packed! She is way ahead of me.
So 3 more full days til we leave. I have one more day of work tomorrow to wrap up some projects and bring Christina up to speed. I’m extremely grateful to leave knowing that everything is in good hands. The lead pastor and executive pastor have both been out this week so it’s been nice and quiet and I’ve been able to get lots done.
I bought the kids each a string of cheap multi-colored lights to hang up in their room. I think their disappointed in my sparse Christmas decorating (the tree, the nativity set and the countdown calendar). I didn’t have time to do more and I didn’t want to overwhelm Wen and Beza when they get home either.
