From the website…
Our goal is to share all sides of the adoption spectrum with the world, as well as those that will soon be or have previously been blessed by adoption. This book will serve as an inspirational tool showcasing the real and raw emotions associated with each journey. It’s intended to reach the hearts of everyone impacted by adoption.
While some stories will bring a sense of peace, some will provide a way to help heal past wounds. Many stories will provide a better understanding of each party involved with adoption and there is no question that all of them will inspire. As a reader travels through the compilation of short stories they will be able to see strength, familiarity, family, selflessness, opportunity, forgiveness, hope, and most importantly, love.
They are looking for stories 2,000 to 2,500 words in length and “descriptive, rooted in time and place, with compelling details that describe the trials and tribulations you endured during your adoption journey.”
Submission deadline is October 31, 2012. See the submission guidelines.
I plan on submitting something for consideration.
What’s would be the “one thing” your adoption story would emphasize?
