57 hours.
That’s how long we spent driving from Phoenix to Denver to Lawerence, KS to Siloam Springs, AR to Beebe, AR and back to Phoenix.
Road Trip 2012 and it was pretty awesome. A week in Denver with my brother’s family, a couple days with my Aunt and Uncle. A couple days with Mark’s Aunt, Uncle & Cousins in NW Arkansas and then a few days with the cousins in Beebe.
We checked quite a few things off the summer bucket list: go whitewater rafting, hike a glacier, see Garden of the Gods, get a behind the scenes tour of the Colorado State Capitol, swim in a lake, ride a motorcycle, catch (or try to) fireflies and see LOTS of family.
The kids (at 9, 11, 12 & 13) do GREAT in the car. They just plug in to a DVD player or their game players and we hear nary a peep out of them. Mark does the majority of the driving and I’m either reading or playing games or watching videos in the iPad.
