Adopt Without Debt

That’s D-Day as in Dave Ramsey day.

(Updated: I totally didn’t realize when I wrote this last night that today IS actually the 67th anniversary of the REAL D-Day. Certainly did not mean to make light of the many men who sacrificed their lives that day. Always grateful!)

Tomorrow is the day I’ll be LIVE on the air with Dave and his 4.5 million listeners (EEK!) talking about “Adopt Without Debt“.

I’m not really nervous about being on the radio, not nervous about the number of people, not really even nervous about talking to Dave (although that’s a huge honor). I’m mostly nervous about getting across the right content in the alloted time.

Ten minutes.

Ten minutes for a BRIEF overview of our story, talk about the book, share a few ideas, inspire and encourage people.

Blake did say “may go longer if needed” 🙂

So my challenge is to either be really succinct and to the point (NOT my strong suit) or SO entertaining and interesting that Dave keeps talking to me for longer 🙂

Obviously the time issue is weighing on my mind because Saturday night I had a bad dream.

What was it about? Not flubbing it up or saying something really embarassing.

I dreamt that Blake emailed me on Monday and said “sorry, we can only give you 5 minutes” and I totally freaked out because I had NO idea how to get the good stuff across in 10 minutes 🙂

So glad it was only a dream.

You can listen live online. If you’re listening on your local station I would be about 95 minutes into the show.

They post the shows online a day or so later so I’ll be sure to post a link.

Email your case manager or agency contact and let them know about the book as a resource for other adoptive parents.

Post on other adoption related boards you belong to (as long as it doesn’t violate list rules). (If someone has already posted, just reply to their post with a comment – don’t spam up the board. If several people have already commented, skip it. I don’t want to make any list owners mad 🙂
Pre-order a copy of the book from Amazon.com. (If you end up winning a copy in the giveaway I’ll refund your money, or you can give the extra one away.)
