Jewelry Party Fundraisers – Noonday Collection

05.04.2011 by juliegumm@yahoo.com //

Noonday was started by Jessica Honegger after a trip to Uganda in 2010. Having decided to adopt from Rwanda, Jessica and her husband were asked by longtime friends living in Uganda if she would like to sell the fair-trade locally made goods in Austin, in order to raise money for the costly adoption process.

Noonday was born. The beautiful items can be purchased online but Noonday also offers “Trunk Shows”. These shows can help YOU raise money for your adoption.

As a hostess for a Noonday Collection Trunk Show you will see your friends light up when they find that special item that was seemingly ‘made for them’ crafted by an artisan with dreams ‘just like them’. At the end of the evening, it’s time for YOU to shop as you enjoy free products from our collection.

Qualify for free jewelry and home accessories with gross sales of $500 or more. Then enjoy 10% of sales in free products. Free products are subject to an 8.25% sales tax. If this party is being done to raise money for your own adoption, then you can opt to receive 10% of the profits in cash.

It’s multiplying like bunny rabbits

04.01.2008 by juliegumm@yahoo.com //

So Jen and Kim came over today so that we could price the remaining garage sale items and we all 3 decided that the stuff is multiplying like bunny rabbits.

Plus we got even MORE donations today from Shannon and her mom and Amy. Yeah gals!

My garage is full, there is not even a walkway any more. I thought I’d let you see…

The new stuff (that wasn’t out last weekend)

This is the leftovers from last weekend PLUS an entire trailer full of stuff that is parked in our side yard.

Crazy nuts I tell you…in a good way.

So we decided to do another 2 day sale this weekend – Friday/Saturday. We’ll post the grand total at the end of the weekend!

Garage Sale Day 1

03.28.2008 by juliegumm@yahoo.com //

We are joining with two other families in the West Valley to have a garage sale w/ proceeds going toward our 3 Ethiopian adoptions. So many friends and family have given an abundance of stuff. Jen was seriously stressing with all the stuff we had stored at our house. We did 7 hours of sale today and will do at least 7 tomorrow. We were blown away with how well we did today. But like Jen I’m not going to tell yet. You’ll have to tune in tomorrow night 🙂 We’ll give you some pictures too so you can see how much stuff we had.

Financial Freedom

Taking Advantage of The Housing Boom

The next huge step in our financial journey really came in 2004 when the housing market in Phoenix went absolutely crazy. The house that we bought for $199,900 over a year earlier was suddenly worth about $350,000. Crazy right? So of course Mark starts talking about selling and I start rolling my eyes at him. […]

I Met Dave!

We interrupt our normally scheduled post for this breaking news… I met Dave! Yesterday I got the opportunity to volunteer at the Dave Ramsey Live Event in Phoenix. It was this same event 10 years ago that changed our lives. Before the show Dave came around and greeted every one of the 60 or so […]
